Dosing pumps made in Italy

Proportional and volumetric precision dosing for every industrial application

Dosing pumps are fundamental components in all industrial and agricultural processes where a liquid substance must be introduced in a controlled, proportional and repeatable manner over time. From livestock farming to the food industry, from fertigation to industrial cleaning, the quality of the dosing pump directly determines the quality of the process and the efficiency of the system.

Mixtron designs and manufactures dosing pumps entirely in Italy, with an approach centred on precision engineering and reliability under continuous operating conditions. The range includes both proportional and volumetric dosers, developed to operate without electrical power and to integrate with existing water systems without requiring structural modifications. Every solution is designed to guarantee consistent and uniform dosing, regardless of variations in flow rate or pressure within the supply network.

Technical features that make the difference

Mixtron dosing pumps are designed and developed in-house by the company's R&D department, with patented engineering solutions that ensure dosing precision, durability and ease of installation even in complex operating environments.

Operation without electrical power

Mixtron dosing pumps operate exclusively on hydraulic network pressure, with no requirement for an external electrical supply. This makes them particularly well-suited to installations in open fields, remote locations or contexts where access to electrical power cannot be guaranteed, whilst simultaneously reducing operating costs and system complexity.

Proportional and volumetric

The Mixtron range includes both proportional dosers, which deliver a quantity of substance directly proportional to the volume of water in transit, and volumetric dosers, suited to precise dosing of liquids independently of flow rate. The choice between the two technologies depends on the characteristics of the process and the degree of precision required. For a detailed comparison of the two systems, refer to the article on proportional and volumetric control on the Mixtron blog.

Materials compatible with aggressive fluids

Fluid-contact components are manufactured in materials selected to ensure chemical compatibility with a broad range of substances, including fertilisers, disinfectants, detergents, veterinary medicines and food additives. The use of AISI 316L stainless steel, high-resistance technopolymers and VITON seals ensures long-term durability even in the presence of corrosive or high-concentration fluids.

Made in Italy quality control and testing

Every dosing pump is assembled and tested at Mixtron's production facility in Reggio Emilia, through a structured multi-stage quality control process. The final inspection verifies dosing precision, hydraulic integrity and correct response to variations in inlet pressure, ensuring the customer receives a product that meets declared specifications before it leaves the facility.

Principal applications of dosing pumps

Mixtron dosing pumps are used across a wide range of productive and agricultural sectors, united by the need for precise, consistent and reliable dosing over time. The flexibility of the range allows specific requirements of flow rate, concentration and chemical compatibility to be met for each application.

Fertigation and agriculture

In fertigation, Mixtron dosing pumps ensure the uniform distribution of fertilisers, water-soluble correctives and pesticides directly into the irrigation water, in constant proportion to flow. The result is precise, repeatable root-zone nutrition, with reduced product waste and greater overall agronomic efficiency.

Livestock and animal husbandry

In livestock farming, dosing pumps are used for the controlled administration of oral medicines, vitamins, acidifiers and additives into drinking water. Dosing precision is critical to ensuring correct product uptake by the animals and to avoiding overdosing that could compromise livestock health.

Food industry

In the food sector, Mixtron dosing pumps are used for the dosing of flavourings, preservatives, additives and cleaning solutions in production and sanitation processes. The construction materials comply with the hygiene standards applicable to food-contact applications, ensuring conformity with current regulations.

Metalworking

In metalworking, dosing pumps are integrated into lubrication and cooling systems for the precise dosing of emulsifiable oils, lubricants and release agents. Consistent dosing protects tooling, reduces machinery wear and improves the surface quality of the finished workpiece.

Car washing and professional cleaning

In car washing systems and professional cleaning installations, Mixtron dosing pumps manage the blending of detergents, waxes and chemical products with process water. Proportional dosing guarantees a consistent product concentration regardless of network pressure variations, resulting in reduced product consumption and uniform cleaning results.
